It all began with the help of some major league baseball heroes. Jackson Landscaping & Stoneworks owner, Dave Jackson, needed some extra money to buy baseball cards when he was in fifth grade. Being an outdoorsy guy, Dave began a lawn-mowing service in Lake Forest. Just like those big, lush, lawns, it grew. Then, he took a small detour when he went into management for Walgreen’s, becoming the second-youngest store manager in its history. But the summer of 1985 was sunny, warm, and much too enticing to be inside. That’s when Dave decided to go well beyond lawn and shrub maintenance and embarked upon his lifelong vocation of creating amazing outdoor environments. He (and his many clients) have never regretted his decision.
